Nestled in the Acheron Valley less than two hours drive northeast
of Melbourne, "Stonelea is in the centre of a micro-region - a little
triangular slice of bucolic bliss tucked between the wine-rich Yarra
Valley and the High Country."
Herald Sun Travel, 2006.
Stonelea opened in 1987, when the original homestead was converted into a restaurant, and the woolshed into a function room and indoor pool centre. A series of individual cottages were built amongst landscaped gardens, designed to offer a luxurious private getaway a world away from the distractions of the city.
The award-winning restaurant is the flagship of the business, offering a level of service and quality of product that is difficult to find in regional areas.
Together with an extensive range of leisure facilities including a private 18-hole golf course, Stonelea is a complete destination for lovers of food and wine who are in need of a little indulgence away from the pressures of city life.
